Interview with a wife of Brigham Young, recorded by Matilda C. Bancroft. With Mormons in Ohio, Missouri, and Illinois; "sealed" to Brigham Young at age 16; experiences crossing Iowa in 1846 and as one of the three women on the Pioneer journey to Utah, 1847; first year in Salt Lake Valley; immigration and early housing.

Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. He is descended from the Thatchers of Uffington, England, the same family as Denis Thatcher, husband of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. From the description of H.H.
